Happy New Year to all our clients, colleagues, friends, and “followers”! This month marks another “statistically significant” milestone for Acumen — our 13th Anniversary! We want to share our celebration by first inviting you to take an insightful journey with us to See the Big Picture, our slogan almost since our inception on January 2, 2002.

To do so, we offer you a one-minute video trip around the world, from aboard the International Space Station at night! This short video begins over the Pacific Ocean and continues over North and South America, before entering daylight near Antarctica. Visible cities include (in order) Vancouver Island, Victoria, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and many more. Also visible are the Earth’s ionosphere (thin yellow line), lightning over the Pacific Ocean (light flashes), and some of the stars of our own Milky Way galaxy.
